Brave & Maiden Estate
I've had the enormous pleasure of working with Brave & Maiden for nearly two years as their social media manager and photographer. Their brand style can only be described as elegant and yet their voice online is optimistic and welcoming; as though they are inviting their guests into their own home.
Brave & Maiden Estate is located smack in the middle of the Santa Ynez Valley, just to the east of Solvang and south of Los Olivos. The brand new, state of the art winery designed by Backen-Gillam Architects sits nestled comfortably in the foothills of the San Rafael Mountains, as though it were there all along.
Our goal with the Brave & Maiden imagery and social media is to invite guests into an exclusive, high-end tasting experience while still offering a friendly, Santa Ynez welcome.
The Tasting Experience
The tasting experience on offer at Brave & Maiden is second to none. Guests are offered the choice of a tour and barrel tasting in the cellar before they are escorted to their own private tasting area where the estate host guides them through a tasting of four incredible wines. Tastings are offered by appointment only, lending even more exclusivity to the offer. We are careful to use words like "exclusive" and "private" when marketing the tasting experiences on social media and give quick glimpses of the experience with the images we share.
Brave & Maiden's audience is particularly attracted to the architecture of the estate, so we are sure give glimpses of the vaulted ceilings and fireplaces, which lend both coziness and expansiveness to the experience.
The Vineyard & Winery
Brave & Maiden sources the entirety of its fruit from the estate vineyard, which is SIP Certified Sustainable. We work to educate the audience on what exactly it means to farm sustainably and how the health of the vineyard is important in the gorgeous wines being crafted on site. We work to show off the biodiversity of the vineyard as well as imagery conveying "hand-crafted" and "estate."
The Event Venue
Brave & Maiden Estates also offers a beautiful and intimate setting for weddings and other private events.
